# Music

> Play music in voice and manage tracks, queues, and playback.

## Start listening

Join a voice channel, then give play a search query or supported track or playlist URL. Playback uses the bot's configured music service.

## Playback controls

Use queue and playback commands for track order, repeat, volume, filters, and autoplay. DJ-role and queue-control settings can limit who changes playback.

## Voice requirements

The bot needs View Channel, Connect, and Speak. Playback also depends on Lavalink and the availability of the requested source.

## Command reference

Examples use the default comma prefix. Required inputs use angle brackets; optional inputs use square brackets. Each command notes whether it is also registered in Discord's slash menu.
